Job Description
The Educational Program and Pedagogy Advisor supports the development of the educational programs, pedagogy and culture across Ambrose School Age Care services. This role will work collaboratively across all Ambrose School Age Care services to support innovative, and quality educational programs designed to exceed minimum regulatory requirements. This is a maternity leave cover role for approximately 12 months.
Responsibilities:
Guiding pedagogical practices for Ambrose School Age Care Services.
Leading the ongoing review of Ambrose School Age Care Educational programs and documentation
Provide mentoring and coaching to Ambrose team members in aspects of program planning, implementation and assessment in accordance with the early childhood education and care program, approved learning frameworks and the service philosophy.
Leading the development and professionalism of Educational Leaders across Ambrose services.
Guide service curriculum and practice to exceed the National Quality Standards.
Support Ambrose Services and Educational Leaders in the Assessment and Rating process.
Working in collaboration with the Senior Manager School Age Care, operations team, fellow advisors, and support office.
Creation, development and delivery of professional development
Strategically focusing on capacity building by working with Senior Manager to develop and implement training programs and mentor support for team members across all services.
Conduct internal audits and reviews of educational practice across Ambrose School Age Care services which will include regular service visits
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Minimum attainment of Diploma qualification in School Age Care of equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Area Coordinator role supporting multiple service in Early Childhood or School Age Care.
Demonstrated experience in supporting the provision of the Educational Program across varying demographics and services.
Sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary early childhood theories and evidence.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Education and Care National Law, Regulation and Standards.
Strong understanding of contemporary curriculum approaches, specifically knowledge of the approved learning frameworks and relevant research.
Current Driver’s License and own vehicle.
Valid and paid NSW Working with Children’s Check.
National and/or International Police Check.
