With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region. Ambrose is operated by Community Ventures which forms part of the Catholic Diocese of Parramatta. Job Description
The Role:
Assisting in the planning and organisation of the Catholic Out of School Hours Care (COSHC) and Vacation Care services
Participating in and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the centre and the centre programs
Working with other staff members as a team to provide consistent and quality childcare in a friendly, welcoming and caring environment where students can develop and learn through play
Develop strong partnerships with families and the community
We are committed to supporting our Educators to develop professionally through providing regular conferences; professional development opportunities; experienced, knowledgeable and supportive management and career advancement opportunities.
Our Services operate between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with shifts organised to give you flexibility during the middle of day.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or working towards one of these qualifications is highly desirable
Experience
Relevant work experience in an approved early years education and care service, e.g. OOSH, vacation or long day care, is desirable
Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
Understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
Understanding and knowledge of child and brain development theory
Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
Understanding of the Education and Care Services Regulations 2011
