Job Description
Working in our Early Education & Care team, you'll be joining at a time of growth and creating innovative programs within the approved learning framework “My Time, Our Place”. With a focus on operating a quality service and a caring workplace, no two days are ever the same!
The effective day to day leadership of your COSHC Service and team with a focus on coaching and building capability
Monitoring and ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations under the National Quality Framework
Providing consistent high-quality services in a safe and caring environment
Managing staff allocation, resources and budget
Building relationships with families and carers
Looking for opportunities for continuous learning and ensuring the culture and values of CDPSL which are based on Respect, Encouragement and Care.
As a Service Coordinator you will be expected to consent to the responsibilities of the Nominated Supervisor.
Our Service operate between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with shifts organised to give you flexibility during the middle of day.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Diploma in Children’s Services / School Aged Care or a relevant discipline is preferred however a substantial amount of experience and ability to demonstrate the competencies and knowledge required to carry out the responsibilities of the role may be sufficient.
Qualifications in Diploma of Community Sector Management, Certificate III Frontline Management or other business management qualification, are advantageous:
Experience
Substantial experience working with children and families in the early years
Experience in leadership with early years’ education and care or in a similar role such as Assistant Coordinator, Room / Educational Leader
Experience as a Responsible Person within a similar Service
Strong knowledge of pedagogical leadership
Experience in leading effective teams and achieving service targets such as quality and attendance
Having acted or previously held the role of Nominated Supervisor is highly desirable
