Ambrose® is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services. With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator role is responsible for delivering high-quality operational support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring timely HR administration, system accuracy, and compliance with legislative and organisational requirements, and supports objectives of the HR team.
Key functions include managing the HR inbox, coordinating contract generation and employee movements, and overseeing the offboarding processes.
The role maintains ELMO HR system, through audits, template management, data updates, and reporting.
The role involves ensuring compliance through HR reporting, WWCC verification, NESA checks, and child safety obligations.
Additionally, the role supports a range of organisational HR projects, provides operational backup across HR specialist functions including Talent Acquisition and Workplace Health & Safety, and delivers general administrative support. The position plays an important part in continuous improvement, documentation quality, and maintaining consistent HR processes across the organisation.
As a pivotal member of the HR team, the incumbent will act in accordance with and be a role model for the CDPSL Values. They will also champion a culture of collaboration and excellent service in all HR activities.
- Minimum 3-5 years HR experience
- Relevant HR qualification or currently completing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate level minimum)
- Experience with HRIS systems highly desirable, ELMO advantageous
- Current Driver's License and own vehicle
- Paid and valid Working with Children's Check
- National and/or International Police Check (if applicable)
- High degree of confidentiality and sensitivity
- Willingness to take and seek direction before acting
- Willingness to learn and commitment to continual development of HR/IR skills
- Actively personally maintain up to date knowledge in HR/IR
- Ability to quickly form trusted relationships to gain an understanding of challenges faced by relevant stakeholders
- High attention to detail
- Excellent listening skills and both written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor according to relevant stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence
- Discretion when viewing or hearing sensitive information
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to services to provide an accessible, in-person HR experience to CDPSL employees, as required
