Job Description
Reporting to the IT Business Systems Manager, the IT Support Officer plays a key role in delivering front-line IT support across the organisation. This includes providing timely and effective technical assistance to team members in early learning centres, school-age care services, and the support office. The role is responsible for resolving and escalating technical issues, managing service tickets, and ensuring that IT systems and devices operate efficiently to support day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include:
Frontline IT Support
Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system
Assist with device setup, and deployment (Windows, macOS, iOS)
Manage Intune-enrolled devices and applications
Support Microsoft 365 apps and services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
Asset & Access Management
Maintain accurate records of IT assets and licensing to ensure audit compliance
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes (user accounts, device allocation)
Conduct regular audits of IT equipment and software
Project & Implementation Support
Assist with the completion, implementation and upgrade of IT services projects
Participate in IT-related projects, including documentation and testing, within Community Ventures
Multi-Site Support & Mobility
Provide support across early learning, school-age care, and support office locations
Travel to sites as required for hands-on support
Other
Assist with any other duties as directed by the IT Business Systems Manager
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements and Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 IT issues across Windows, macOS, and iOS platforms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple support requests in a timely and efficient manner
Sound judgement and problem-solving skills in time-critical situations
Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small IT team
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Willingness to travel between sites to provide on-site support as required
Proven ability to work autonomously and think creatively to solve problems and deliver services
Demonstrated focus on outcomes and exceeding stakeholder and user expectations
Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology (desirable)
ITIL Foundation certification (desirable)
Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and iOS devices, including Microsoft 365 and Intune
Essential Requirements:
Valid Paid Working with Children’s Check
Valid Child Safety Training Certification
Current driver’s license
